During the building of the brewery; sustainability was always at the forefront of conversation. From energy usage to local ingredients or products and even digging deep to get out contaminated soil. All of the steps taken at the beginning are continuing to be built upon as we grow. With gardens around the building going in this summer and the continued local support of artisens in our community, we are still keeping our focus on what we believe is the right thing to do, even if it isn’t always the easiest.

GetKnit Brewery Tour Events

We are excited to announce our new partnership with GetKnit Events, an experiential events company based in Minneapolis focused on partnering with local businesses and non-profits to “knit” our community together. Through this partnership, we will not only bring you exciting new events that will encourage you to engage in something outside of your normal routine, but also reinvigorate our entire Minnesota community.

We are currently partnering with GetKnit Events, Bent Paddle Brewing, Castle Danger Brewing, Lake Superior Brewing, Carmody Irish Pub and Brewery, and Tycoons Alehouse in the northland area to bring you an exclusive opportunity to enjoy all of these breweries and their beers on a one-day North Shore Brewery Tour. This event will be an all-day beer-lovers experience that includes transportation to and from the Twin Cities, more than 20 craft beer tastings from Duluth and Two Harbors, exclusive access to 6 different microbreweries and brewpubs, private brewery tours, coffee and pastries, beer-inspired pub fare for lunch, and gourmet dinner.

Canal Park Brewery’s First Year at WinterDASH 2013

Bayfield’s WinterFest is made up of many different events to celebrate the (hopeful) end of winter. Started in 2006 as a simple plunge and dinner, the event has expanded into a three-day long winter festival. One of the biggest parts of the WinterFest is the WinterDash. People dressed in costumes and winter-running gear trudged through deep snow, avoided police tape, hoist logs up hills, climbed a ski hill called “The Drop,” crawled through an igloo, smashed ice, and managed to run some more!

As a new brewery and this event is perfect for NorthCoasters, Canal Park Brewery wanted to get in on the action and sponsor such an adventurous and crazy events.

The event was held on March 2nd. 20 eager runners took to the obstacle course this year. Next year’s registration is opening up soon so keep your eyes open on Bayfield Winter Festival’s facebook page for the latest information and to view all the great photos.

Let Us Recap: Beer Dabbler Winter Carnival

The Canal Park Brewing Company attended the 4^th Annual Beer Dabbler Winter Carnival in St Paul, Minnesota on January 26. The frigid temperatures did not deter a single beer fan. In fact, the event was sold out!

Our team proudly poured Stoned Surf IPA, Nut Hatched Ale, Wetsuit Malfunction Wit and Dawn Treader Beligan Tripel to thousands of hearty Minnesotans who gathered to enjoy craft beers in the chill of winter.

More than 100 local, regional and national breweries displayed their brews. This event was the Canal Park Brewing Company’s first venture into the Twin Cities market. The beer was a hit as many people said that our IPA was hands down the best at the event! We can’t ask for much more than that! Thank you to all who attended this years Winter Carnival! It was a blast and we look forward to serving each and every one of you again soon! Hope to see you all in the Canal Park Brewery!

The 12th annual Minnesota Craft Brewers’ Guild Winterfest at the Minnesota History Center in St. Paul. An evening of beer, live music, Minnesota-insprired food and beer education. Warm up with our Nut Hatchet, Stoned Surf IPA and our Dawn Treader Tripel.
